Sleep guidance aligned with development and attachment
Sleep is one of the things that causes parents a lot of stress and concern. In fact, bedtime is one of the main times when emotional work surfaces (for children and adults). Whether your child is struggling to fall asleep, waking frequently, rising extra early, or has unpredictable sleep needs, I can help you better understand sleep development and make effective changes to ensure more sleep and skills for the whole family.
As a responsive sleep educator, I take a holistic approach to sleep concerns and am deeply committed to using developmentally-informed and attachment-focused tools. In other words, I don't advise anything that asks you to leave your child alone in distress. Instead, we use a neuroscience lens which enables you to see progress by making intentional, gradual changes in a process that is rooted in regulation and skill-building. In this way, I empower parents to practice skills during the day before applying them to bedtime. This is especially effective for children with neurodivergent brains because they often need additional regulation in order to access rest.
Most clients begin the process with a free 30-minute discovery call to determine if it's a good fit for us to work together. This offers parents an opportunity to share their concerns and goals and to learn more about how working with me can make a difference for your family's sleep.
Our work is launched with a 60-minute virtual intake session, which allows me to have a better understanding of a client's family history and parenting experience. Families are encouraged to complete a sleep assessment as well as standard intake paperwork.
Depending on your needs, you can choose between a 90-minute troubleshooting session or a sleep package which includes 4 weeks of intensive support*. The troubleshooting session is perfect for families seeking education on sleep development or assistance developing a family sleep plan but aren't interested in intensive support. The sleep package is ideal for parents who prefer increased support as they implement their family sleep plan.
